Local teacher charged over historical sexual offences

A teacher has been charged over historical sexual offences in outer South Western Sydney.

In July 2023, detectives from Campbelltown City Police Area Command commenced an investigation regarding the alleged actions of a male high school teacher dating back to 2020 and 2021.

Following extensive inquiries, a 28-year-old man was arrested at Auburn police station on Tuesday.

The man was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault (victim under authority of offender and aggravated), and sexually touch another person.

The accused was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court yesterday.

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate this teenage girl, who is reported missing.

Hafeezah Sami, aged 14, was last seen about 7am on September 5 at a school on Oxford Road, Ingleburn.

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for her welfare due to her age.

Hafeezah is described as being of Indian/sub-continental appearance, about 165cm tall, of medium build, with long black hair.

She was last seen wearing a green jacket, black pants and black/white sneakers.

She is known to frequent the Liverpool, Parramatta, Fairfield and Campbelltown areas.

She may be travelling around train stations in these areas.
