Police treating as suspicious death of teenage boy in Wilton

The death of a teenage boy is being treated as suspicious by investigating police.

Authorities are yet to formally identify the body, which was found in bushland off Wilton Park Road, Wilton this morning.

Emergency services responded to reports about 7.25am (Saturday, November 9), that a body had been located in bushland off Wilton Park Road, Wilton.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command secured the crime scene for forensic and other specialist police units.

Wilton Park Road has been closed since the discovery of the body of the boy.

In the meantime, police are appealing to anyone who may have knowledge of the incident or has been in the area since 6pm yesterday (Friday) and may have relevant dashcam/mobile phone footage to urgently contact Camden Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command have commenced an investigation after several businesses across town were broken into and robbed.

Between Tuesday, October 22 and Wednesday, November 6, a number of retail stores, restaurants and cafes in Minto and Macarthur Square were broken into.

Items including a designer handbag, cash, electronic devices, and tools were stolen.

As investigations into the incidents continue, police would like to speak to anyone who may have information.
