A 47-year-old man is in police custody and facing a raft of charges, including stalking and dealing in drugs.
He was due to face court today after a police operation in Campbelltown yesterday netted nearly $200,000 cash and more than 1kg of methamphetamine in separate eskies.
The operation started when police officers stopped a man driving a van on the Moore Oxley Bypass, Campbelltown early on Friday morning.
Soon after that, police executed a search warrant at a unit on Tyler Street, Campbelltown.
There they seized three modified plastic eskies which contained more than $184,000 cash, 1kg of methylamphetamine and other items.
Police say that it was also established that in January of this year the man in custody had allegedly placed a tracking device on a woman known to him without her knowledge.
Once the man was arrested he was taken to nearby Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with:
• installing or using a tracking device to find person without consent;
• stalking or intimidating;
• supplying a prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity;
• knowingly deal with the proceeds of crime;
• possess a prohibited drug;
• possess or use a prohibited weapon without a permit.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today.
