Man, 28, in court after stabbing at Leumeah

A man has appeared in court after being charged following a stabbing near the centre of Campbelltown.

Police say that just after 12pm on Saturday, June 15, emergency services were called to Campbelltown Sports Stadium at Leumeah following reports of a stabbing.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a man aged in his 20s at the scene for stab wounds to his stomach and back.

The injured man, who was in a stable condition, was then taken to Liverpool Hospital.

Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Five days later, a 28-year-old man attended Campbelltown Police Station and was arrested.

He was charged with reckless grievous bodily harm and refused bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court.

In a separate incident, three teenagers were set to appear in court today (June 26), after being arrested in a shopping centre on Macquarie Street, Liverpool, last night.

Police that at about 8:40pm (June 25), officers responded to reports six males were walking through the shopping centre, one brandishing a knife.

After speaking with them, a knife was allegedly found during the search of one of them, a 15 year old teenage boy.

A second 15-year-old and a 17-year-old were also arrested – for breach of bail.

All three were taken to Liverpool Police Station.

One 15-year-old boy was charged with custody of knife in public place. The other 15-year-old and 17-year-old were both charged with breach of bail.

All three were refused bail to appear before a Childrens Court today (June 26).
