In a separate incident, police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from the Southern Highlands.

Abigail Sullivan, aged 13, was last seen at her home in Bowral, about 8.15am yesterday.

When she failed to attend school, officers attached to the Hume Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Family and police hold serious concerns for Abigail’s welfare due to her age and her disappearance being out of character.

Abigail is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 170-175cm tall, with thin build, fair complexion, with shoulder length blonde hair and brown coloured eyes.

She is possibly wearing a maroon-coloured jumper and blue school uniform, black shoes and carrying a green backpack.

Police believe Abigail may have attended a theatre in Bong Bong Street, Bowral around 7.30-8.00pm last night.

Anyone with information into Abigail’s whereabouts is urged to contact Bowral Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
