Competition will be fierce when a sensational line-up of emerging skate boarders hits Julia Reserve Skate Park this month, as part of the Rumble AM series.
The national junior competition circuit, run by The Rumble, will feature approximately 60 skateboarders of all ages and abilities, competing for the chance to showcase their skills at larger skateboarding events across Australia.
The event, from 11am-6pm on Saturday, July 15, will be free for spectators to attend and check out the skateboarding action when it returns to the Camden area.
It will also feature food and drink stalls, a DJ spinning live music and information stalls from local youth and community services.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney, said having the exciting Rumble AM series in Camden was a great opportunity for our local, aspiring skateboarders to showcase their skills.
“Not only was it a great competition platform, but it also provided our local youth with the chance to connect with other skateboarders across Australia in a supportive skateboarding environment,” Mayor Cagney said.
“The number of spectators coming out to support our local talent was incredible to see.
“It’s important for the younger generations to feel a sense of community connection and have the opportunity to give anything a go.”
