Around 10am on Saturday, police were called to Campbelltown Mall when staff members found a toddler in the food court by himself.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and searched the mall; however, were unable to locate the boy’s parents or carers.

The boy, believed to be aged between 18 months and two years, was taken to Campbelltown Police Station while further inquiries were conducted.

Police viewed CCTV from the mall and saw the boy with a woman inside the food court just before 10am.

The footage showed the woman leaving the area without the boy.

Just after 5pm police announced that they had located the mother of the toddler.

The 45 year old woman was located in a car park and taken to hospital for assessment.

The boy was reunited with his father.
