Local seniors can enjoy a range of free community events held throughout March in Campbelltown as part of this year’s NSW Seniors Festival.
From an expo in the civic centre to golf at Macquarie Links and a guided walk at Campbelltown Billabong Parklands, the event has literally something for everyone.
The festival will run from Monday 3 March to Sunday 16 March.
This year’s theme is Time to Shine, empowering seniors to get involved and share their experiences.
“NSW Seniors Festival is an opportunity for everyone to recognise the ongoing legacy and role of our senior Campbelltown residents who have been a vital part of our community over the years,” says Campbelltown Mayor Darcy Lound.
“This year we’re giving our seniors a chance to shine with an extensive list of free events to get involved in, so I strongly encourage everyone to come together and join us for another great year of this important festival,” said Cr Lound.
Some of the highlights of this year’s program are:
- Campbelltown City Seniors Expo at Campbelltown Civic Centre (Monday 3 March)
- Guided Walk at Campbelltown Billabong Parklands (Tuesday 4 &11 March)
- Give Golf a Go at Macquarie Links Golf Club (Tuesday 4 March)
- My Cup Succs! Recycled Succulent Workshop (Wednesday 5 March)
- Walking Soccer at Campbelltown Billabong Parklands (Thursday 6 March)
- Day Trip to Wyong Milk Factory (Tuesday 11 March)
- Time to Shine Concert at Campbelltown Civic Hall (Friday 14 March)
- Mirror Magic – Self Portrait Master Class at Campbelltown Arts Centre (Friday 14 March)
