Countdown starts to Santa’s arrival for Christmas ‘25

The arrival of Santa does not get much more traditional than how it takes place every year in Minto Mall.

Santa sits in his sleigh, which is drawn by reindeer – yes, real reindeer, kids – as part of a festive Christmas parade along Brookfield Road, before heading inside the centre to his home for the next 25 days or so.

Santa’s home, pictured above, is ready for Christmas 2025, and the plan is for the jolly fellow in a red suit to be in his seat at around 11am this Sunday, November 30.

Naturally, everyone’s invited to help make it a warm welcome for Santa once again.

Immediately following the arrival of Sunday this Sunday, the Magic of Christmas show – singing and dancing – will get under way, so plan to hang around to enjoy the entertainment.

Now, if you miss this Sunday’s arrival, which is highly unlikely seeing it’s such a wonderful event, and the kids want an opportunity to get up close and personal with the reindeers, they will return to Minto mall the following day, on Monday, December 1, from 9.30am to 10.30am.

Let’s not forget Santa’s hours, which will be 1pm-5pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 1pm-6pm on Thursdays and 11am to 5pm on the weekend.

If you’d like to book a time with Santa for photos, on Monday through to Friday he will be available for one hour, from 12 noon to 1pm.

Sensory photos will be available before centre business hours to ensure a calm and quiet experience: Wednesdays, 7.30am to 9am, 20-minute slots, group bookings welcome.

Pet photos: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 6pm to 8pm, 15-minute time slots – entry via Kmart dock corridor.
