Campbeltown and Liverpool Hospitals have been included in the implementation stage of safe staffing levels in dedicated postnatal wards.
They are two of seven hospitals that will be part of the impending rollout to boost safe staff levels.
Locals MP Greg Warren at Campbelltown and Charishma Kaliyanda (pictured above), both part of the Minns State Government, have welcomed the inclusion of their local hospitals.
“This is a wonderful announcement for our Campbelltown community and for the hardworking staff of Campbelltown Hospital, particularly in the postnatal ward,” Mr Warren said.
“I am proud that the Minns Labor Government is committed to rolling out safe staffing levels to support our nurses and midwives and the patients in their care.”

“It will help them continue to deliver high-quality care while meeting the needs of our growing community.
“Only the Minns Labor Government is committed to rolling out safe staffing levels to support our nurses and midwives and the patients in their care.”
The Safe Staffing Levels Taskforce, comprised of key leaders from the NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association (NSWNMA), NSW Health, and local health districts, will plan the rollout and determine how many staff will be assigned to each postnatal ward.
The Minns Labor Government claims the delivery of Safe Staffing Levels is “the most significant workforce reform in the history of NSW health system’’.
It says it has committed to delivering 2,480 additional full time equivalent nurses and midwives, in identified key clinical areas.
Rollout of safe staffing levels has already commenced in 56 emergency departments across NSW, with over 820 FTE nurses recruited to date.
