Young man beaten and robbed at Ingleburn overnight

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was assaulted and robbed in Ingleburn overnight.

About 11pm a 19-year-old man was walking near Norfolk and Palmer Streets, Ingleburn, when a vehicle stopped nearby.

Police say four males got out of the vehicle and demanded the man hand over his belongings and then punched him in the face.

The man fell to the ground and the four males continued to kick him before stealing his backpack and headphones and then driving away.

The vehicle, described as a silver or white hatch, was last seen turning onto Cumberland Road towards Minto.

The man, who sustained cuts to his lip and forehead, swelling to the mouth and an injury to his ear, was taken to hospital for treatment.

Campbelltown City Police Area Command, which is investigating the incident, has descriptions of two of the four asailants.

Both men are described as being of Pacific Islander/ Maori appearance, about 180cm tall with solid builds.

One man was wearing a black jumper with grey trackpants and the second was wearing a black top and a white hat or beanie.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area is urged to contact police.

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate this elderly man who is missing from his home near Campbelltown.

Iraj Yaghooti Fam, aged 74, was last seen at his home on Yallara Street, Helens Park, around 7am yesterday.

Mr Yaghooti Fam is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 172cm tall, of medium build with white hair. He wears bi-focal glasses with a dark tint and was possibly wearing grey tracksuit pants.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare due to his age.

Anyone with information about Mr Yaghooti Fam’s whereabouts is urged to contact police.

A man has been charged following an investigation into a fatal crash near Picton in October.

The 21 year old man was arrested at a home in Warragamba yesterday. He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and a number of other charges relating to the incident on October 17.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Penrith Local Court on December 22.

Emergency services were called to Picton Road, near Macarthur Drive, Wilton, following reports of a head-on crash just before 6am on the day of the incident.

A white Toyota Hilux towing a boat and a grey Toyota Hilux collided, killing the 25 year old driver of the grey utility.

His male passenger and the male driver and sole occupant of the white utility were both treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.

Two further vehicles were also hit and sustained minor damage. The drivers were uninjured; however, they were taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
