The festive season means extra recycling waste for households.
If you’re in Camden, they’ve got you covered with council’s recycling drop off event.
Camden residents have the chance to get rid of their Christmas wrapping paper and other extra recycling waste at the next quarterly event to be held on Saturday, January 9.
Drop off your recycling material from 9am to 3pm at Camden Council’s works depot located at 5 Millwood Avenue, Narellan.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, says the event is popular with both new residents moving into their homes and those having festive season parties at home.
“Council’s recycling drop off events give the community a chance to do the right thing for the environment and recycle in the best way possible,” Cr Fedeli said.
“With Christmas and the festive season at this time of the year I am sure this recycling drop off will come at the perfect time.
“For the safety of both the community and staff, residents are asked to remain in their cars when they attend council’s works depot.”
Items that will be accepted on the day include bulky cardboard, paper, plastic bottles and containers, glass bottles, cans and polystyrene.
