An 84 year old pedestrian is hit by a car in Picton

Police are appealing for witness and dashcam footage after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Picton and had to be taken to hospital.

The incident took place about 6.20am last Friday morning.

Emergency services were called to the Old Hume Highway, Picton, following reports a man had been hit by a car.

Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command arrived to find an 84-year-old man had been hit by a Toyota Camry sedan.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious chest and head injuries before being taken Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the Toyota, a 60-year-old woman, was uninjured.

Police established a crime scene and are investigating the cause of the crash.

As inquiries continue police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident to contact Camden police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a boy and girl reported missing.

Jack Hunt, aged 16, and Mary-Jane Williams, aged 13, were last seen together in the Macquarie Fields area about 2.30pm last Monday (February 26).

Police and family hold concerns for both Jack and Mary-Jane’s welfare due to their ages.

Jack is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, large build, with brown hair.

He was last seen wearing blue and green school uniform.

He is known to frequent the Campbelltown, Liverpool, Prestons, Macquarie Fields, and Coffs Harbour areas.

Mary-Jane is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, large build, with short brown hair and fair complexion.

She was last seen wearing an aqua-coloured top, black shorts and joggers.

Anyone with information into their whereabouts is urged to contact Campbelltown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
