Celebrating the bond between dogs and their owners, one of Wollondilly’s most popular events, the Dilly Doggy Day Out is moving to a new venue this year and is tipped to be bigger and more pawsome than ever..
The event is scheduled for Sunday, September 14 and will run from 9am to 1pm at the Bargo Sportsground, Radnor Road.
The much-loved community event has been running since 2018, with hundreds of humans and their fur babies attending throughout the day.
“Dilly Doggy Day Out is a great event for local families and animal lovers,’’ says Mayor Matt Gould.
“It highlights the work that the Wollondilly Animal Shelter does and provides the community with a fun day out to discover local vendors and suppliers and enjoy an array of activities.
“The new location at Bargo Sportsground will provide even more space for all the pet-related market stalls, specialty talks and presentations, agility demonstrations and doggy competitions,” he said.
Free dog microchipping will be available on the day, along with grooming, veterinary health checks, a pooch photobooth, dog caricatures, kids’ activities and more.
Council staff will be on hand at the event to provide advice about registering your pet and microchipping, along with information about the pets available for adoption at the Wollondilly Animal Shelter.
