The acclaimed Spanish flamenco guitarist Paco Lara will perform in Camden next month.

Lara, who now lives in Australia having migrated here in 2017, will perform the original work from his new album, Duende.

The show promises to be a fusion of flamenco music, song and dance performed by Lara and his talented ensemble.

Duende will transport the audience to Southern Spain, with virtuoso guitarist Lara accompanied by a multicultural and dynamic ensemble of performers.

Lara has toured internationally alongside some of the greatest artists and maestro legends of flamenco in Spain, as well as packed out concerns around Australia.

He migrated here from Jerez, the heartland of flamenco in Spain.

His style, half way between traditional and contemporary flamenco, is contributing to an increase in popularity and understanding of this musical genre, especially in NSW where he lives.

Lara will perform Duende at the Camden Civic Centre on Friday, October 13.

Student all-star band The Aviators – from local school Thomas Hassall Anglican College – will warm the stage up for the evening, performing an opening set before Paco and his ensemble.

These young musicians, who have just returned from a tour in Japan, perform funk and jazz music inspired by Dirty Loops, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock and others.
