The search for a new coach is over: Macarthur Bulls FC have announced that Sasa Ognenovski has signed a two year deal to manage the club’s A-League squad.
A highly decorated former player, Ognenovski brings a wealth of experience and a winning mentality to the role.
As a centre-back he was part of the early years of the A-League, representing Brisbane Roar, Adelaide United and Sydney FC.
Ognenovski’s achievements on the field include being named 2010 Asian Footballer of the Year by the Asian Football Confederation after guiding Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma to AFC Champions League glory.
A seasoned Socceroo, he also made 22 appearances for the Australian national team, one of which is pictured above.
More recently, Ognenovski has continued his development on the coaching side of the game, serving as football director of NPL Victoria side Preston Lions FC.
With experience at the highest levels of Australian and Asian football, Ognenovski brings a strong understanding of the game, leadership and a proven winning mentality to Macarthur Bulls FC.
Speaking on the announcement, Ognenovski said he was excited to begin this new chapter of his football journey with the Bulls

“I am grateful for the opportunity and cannot wait to get started.
“After speaking with the people involved, it became clear that we share the same desire to build a strong football program, establish high professional standards and create an environment in which players can perform and develop.
“I believe there is enormous potential here, and the opportunity to help shape the club’s next chapter was one I was extremely excited to accept.
