In March 2008, Luddenham resident Ann Willmington received life‑changing news: she had a brain tumour and was given just 18 months to live.
Thanks to world‑renowned neurosurgeon Dr Charlie Teo (pictured above), Ann was given a second chance.
After three surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation therapy, Ann defied the odds and survived one of the deadliest cancers in Australia.
Today, Ann is dedicated to helping find a cure.
Through Music for Life, she has spent more than 15 years raising funds for Brain Cancer Research, supporting innovative research aimed at accelerating a cure for brain cancer.
Since its inception, Music for Life has raised more than $500,000 for brain cancer research.
This year marks the first Music for Life Spring Ball since Covid, and the community is invited to come together for an unforgettable night of entertainment, hope and fundraising.
The Music for Life Spring Ball will be held on Saturday, September 12 at Workers Hubertus Club, Luddenham starting at 6.00pm
The evening will feature live entertainment, including the return of The King in Concert with David Cazalet and his band.
Guests will also hear directly from Dr Charlie Teo AM, who will share insights into the groundbreaking research that is changing outcomes for patients with brain cancer. All kept together with MC Chris Smith from radio 2SM.
The formal event includes a three‑course meal, auctions, and fundraising activities, all supporting the Charlie Teo Foundation’s mission to unlock the brain tumour maze and bring hope to families affected by this devastating disease.
Tickets are now available at Trybooking or Charlie Teo Foundation as well as on the Music for Life Facebook page at $180 per person or $1360 for a table of eight.
