Officers attached to Campbelltown Police Area Command responded and arrived to find the rider of a motorcycle – a man believed to be aged in his 20s – had died at the scene.

The driver of the ute – a 30-year-old man – was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for mandatory testing.

In a separate incident, investigators are appealing for information after a single shot was fired from a parked car yesterday afternoon.

Police say a 20-year-old man approached a vehicle when a firearm was produced, and a single shot fired before it passed through the front door of a nearby home and into an internal wall.

A single occupant of the home was uninjured.

The man was not injured and ran from the scene as an individual exited the vehicle allegedly running after him.

Initial inquiries have led police to believe the incident, which took place near Fairfield, was a targeted attack.
