Motorbike rider, 71, dies in crash with car at Picton

A motorcycle rider has died following a two-vehicle crash at Picton this afternoon.

Just after 1pm today, emergency services were called to Remembrance Drive at Picton, following reports a motorcycle and car had collided.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the rider of the motorcycle – a 71-year-old man – died at the scene.

The driver of the car – a 54-year-old man – was uninjured and taken to Campbelltown Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As inquiries continue, anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has dashcam vision from the area, is urged to come forward.

A report will now be prepared for the information of the NSW Coroner.

A 64 year old Minto man has appeared in Campbelltown local court over the alleged sexual touching of a teenage girl in Liverpool last week.

He had been arrested on Sunday afternoon.

Upon searching the man, police allegedly located three knives.

The man was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with intentionally sexually touch child (under 16 years of age), intend to commit serious indictable offence and custody of knife in public place.

Police say that last Friday a 15-year-old girl was approached by an unknown male at Liverpool Railway Station before he led her away and allegedly indecently assaulted her.

The girl was able to break free and make her way back to the station and alert police.

The man fled the scene.

Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation into the incident.
