Completion is fast approaching for the first major office and residential building in central Campbelltown in 25 years.

Eight Dumaresq Street, located between the council cinema building and Australia Post, is setting sales records.

The boutique $75 million, 14 level mixed use building is being developed by local firm Saxon Developments.

It boasts 53 residential apartments, 5,000 square metres of commercial office space and 446sqm of ground floor retail space.

There are four levels of basement parking.

Saxon Developments managing director Terry Bassal said the building is being built by the highly credentialed TQM Design and Construct.

Mr Bassal confirmed it is due for completion late in 2023.

TQM is a four star iCERT rated builder who has been independently assessed for best practices and financial security.

Mr Bassal said many buyers had responded positively to TQM following problems in the NSW construction industry.

“As a result, the apartments have sold extremely well, with just 14 remaining,’’ Mr Bassal said.

“Studio apartments are priced at $439,000, one bedroom from $609,000 and from $699,000 for a two bedroom, 92 sqm apartment featuring high quality fittings and fixtures,” he said.

The first six levels of the building offer 5,000 sqm of strata office space and 465sqm of retail. Only one office level remains available.

Mr Bassal said part of the success of the building was its extensive services including high end amenities, end of trip facilities, rooftop barbecue area and an 83 sqm function and meeting room.

“The popularity of the building is also due to the lifestyle opportunities, with a variety of restaurants, shopping precinct, parks, clubs and the Campbelltown Arts Centre on its doorstep, as well as its proximity to Campbelltown railway station.’’

The residential building at 8 Dumaresq Street is being marketed by My Property Consultants and the commercial space by L.J Hooker Campbelltown.

For first home buyers there is no stamp duty for new builds up to $650,000, while the First Home Owner Grant of $10,000 applies for new dwellings up to $600,000.
