Earlier this year, Mayor George Greiss organised a forum to discuss ideas about moving Campbelltown forward.
He invited experts and some of the area’s high fliers to the Campbelltown arts centre in what turned out to be a successful gathering.
One of the ideas supported was for more forums, but with extra emphasis on community engagement.
Mayor Greiss has responded positively to that suggestion so now Campbelltown residents are being invited to share their big ideas for the city’s future at a series of community forums.
The forums will be hosted by Mayor Greiss in the next few weeks and months.
The first three Community Forums are scheduled to be held at the Campbelltown Civic Hall on Tuesday, August 29 from 6pm to 8pm, Monday, September 25 in Campbelltown and Wednesday, October 25 in Ingleburn.
“These forums are an opportunity for the community to bring their ideas directly to me and council’s staff in order to help us better understand the community’s desires and aspirations for the future of our city,” Cr Greiss said.
“There’s plenty happening across Campbelltown at the moment so I’m excited to share some of the latest updates on the many projects happening across the city and what’s to come in the next few months,” he said.
“Campbelltown is home to a very passionate community, and I know there are many great ideas out there so I look forward to talking with people directly and hearing about their lived experiences to see how we can improve our city going forward,” he said.
Attendees will have the opportunity to book a time to meet directly with the mayor during the forum.
