MasterChef royalty is set to touch down in Camden, with Justin Narayan confirmed as this year’s Taste Camden guest chef.

Narayan, a first generation Australian inspired by his Fijian and Indian heritage, will bring his culinary flair and signature style to Camden with a series of live cooking demonstrations at this year’s Taste.

Dishes will include Elote (Mexican grilled corn), chicken curry tacos with coriander chutney, and Barfi spice caramel slice.

Narayan, who won MasterChef in 2021, has years of experience after starting his cooking journey at just 13 years of age.

He says his mum was his biggest inspiration, and he enjoyed watching cooking and cooking for his grandparents.

Taste Camden will be held on Sunday, September 21, 12-5pm, at Camden Town Farm, 40 Exeter Street, Camden.

A new feature of the day will be buying local and regional beers, ciders and wines from the bar to take home.

More than 40 stallholders will be on hand offering a smorgasbord of culinary creations, from artisan salami to baguettes, gozleme, empanadas, dumplings, woodfired pizza and souvla grill meats.

Entertainment will be provided by Carly Mozsny, Ria Brcic, Luke Koteras and Taste of Soul, to name a few.

And the fun doesn’t stop there! There will also be a range of kids’ activities including face painting, coaster decorating, an inclusive space and a kids’ cooking experience where little chefs can whip up their own culinary delights.

More than 10,000 people are expected to enjoy the abundance of food, drink, produce and entertainment at this year’s Taste Camden.
