About 12.20am on Friday, March 8 this year, a 34-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were seated in two separate vehicles parked in a carpark along Camden Road, Campbelltown, when they were allegedly approached by a man not known to them.

The pair then drove from the scene to another carpark at the rear of a fast-food outlet nearby on Tindall Street.

A short time later the man followed the pair into the second carpark driving a white Toyota Hilux utility with a stainless steel sports bumper bar.

He then got out of his vehicle and threatened the other man and the woman with a firearm.

Police say he also attempted to smash the driver’s window of the 34-year-old man’s car with the butt of the firearm.

The 34-year-old man and the woman drove from the scene where the matter was reported to officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command.

This morning, detectives investigating the incident have released images of the vehicle and of a man who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

The man is described as Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, 170cm tall, thin build and short brown hair.

The man was wearing a black singlet with the logo PUMA across the chest in white writing, blue shorts with a red horizontal stripe on the top of the left leg and on the opposite side a white stripe.

Both stripes are enclosed by a black top and bottom line. Dark coloured shoes were also being worn.

Anyone with information about the matter is urged to contact Campbelltown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
