
Police are investigating the circumstances around a fatal crash on the Hume Highway on-ramp at Campbelltown Road, Glenfield.
They are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash, or has dashcam footage, to contact Campbelltown Police.
About 5.30am yesterday (Tuesday, April 7), emergency services were called to the scene of the crash.
Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command who responded to the incident found a white Toyota utility had collided with a parked B-double trailer.
The driver of the utility – a man believed to be aged in his 40s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however; he died at the scene.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.

Three men are facing court charged after drugs and firearms were seized following two search warrants in Liverpool.
Investigators attached to Green Valley Region Enforcement Squad commenced an investigation last month into the alleged manufacture of firearms in exchange for prohibited drugs.
Last Thursday (April 2), officers executed search warrants at two homes on Charles Street, Liverpool .
They allegedly located and seized a number of handmade firearms and cannabis at the first home and 14 grams of methylamphetamine and a prohibited firearm at the second.
Two men, aged 31 and 55, were arrested at the address and taken to Liverpool Police Station.
The younger man was charged with supplying a firearm and two other offences.
The older man was charged with possessing an unregistered firearm.
Both men appeared at Liverpool Local Court and are due to reappear at the same court on April 15.
Following further inquiries, yesterday (Tuesday, April 7), officers arrested a 55-year-old man at a Charles Street address.
He was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with supplying a prohibited drug and an unauthorised firearm.
The man appeared at Liverpool Local Court where he was formally refused bail to appear at the same court on April 14.
