Campbelltown’s main street will become a hub for foodies and music lovers during Beats and Eats On Q later this month.
Flavours of traditional cuisines from around the world will be available from the existing restaurants in the Queen Street precinct, including Afghan, Vietnamese, Lebanese, Thai and Japanese.
People can enjoy street performances from musicians and dance artists, join in drumming workshops and play large-scale games in the plaza space where Lithgow Street intersects Queen Street.
Beats and Eats will also feature a mini Eat Street for people to grab desserts after their dinner.
It will be on Saturday, May 29.
“There’ll be a real buzz around Queen Street with the sounds of drums and some amazing musical and dance performances from local artists,” promises mayor George Brticevic.
“So bring the kids down or get together with friends for a great evening of entertainment and music while you grab a bite to eat from one of our local restaurants,” Cr Brticevic said.
“I know many people were excited for Beats and Eats in March before it was postponed, so it’s great that we were able to reschedule this event,” he said.
Beats and Eats is part of the On Q activation program to test and trial different ideas and programs to enhance the Queen Street precinct over the coming months.
