It takes a community effort to support young people and prevent drug and alcohol harm, which is why McDonald’s outlets across Macarthur restaurants will step up with a charity fun night for Youth Solutions next week.

McDonald’s in Macarthur and local licensee, Peter Meadows, have renewed their ongoing support and partnership with Youth Solutions, naming the youth charity as its charity fun night recipient for Wednesday, March 22.

A percentage of sales between 3pm and 5pm at food courts and 5pm and 7pm at drive-through Maccas will be donated to Youth Solutions to help the youth charity as it continues to educate and support young people around drugs, alcohol and related issues.

The charity fun night cements McDonald’s in Macarthur’s ongoing support and strong partnership with Youth Solutions and its support of young people in the community.

Youth Solutions chief executive officer Geraldine Dean thanked McDonald’s in Macarthur for not only raising funds for the charity, but for helping to share Youth Solutions’ work with its staff and customers.

“We are so grateful to receive ongoing support from McDonald’s in Macarthur and we are thrilled to have been selected as a charity fun night partner again in 2023,’’ Mrs Dean said.

“We cannot thank the team enough for fundraising in support of our charity and for sharing our services and supports with our community, which includes their young workforce and customers.’’

Local licensee, Peter Meadows, pictured above with Mrs Dean and other Youth Solutions members in 2018, is urging the Macarthur community to get behind next week’s charity fun night.

“We continue supporting Youth Solutions because we share similar values around taking care of our young people and contributing positively to the community,’’ he said.

“As one of the largest youth employers in Macarthur, we know how important it is to provide support networks for the next generation.

“We hope our contribution can help Youth Solutions to continue to provide that support and we encourage our community to get behind this year’s charity fun night for Youth Solutions,” Mr Meadows said.
