Macarthur FC is about to launch into another A-League season knowing it is also quietly building the foundations of a great football club.
Most fans only see the senior men’s and women’s team, but the Bulls juniors – including the FC Academy – are starting to reap the rewards of hard work by everyone involved, from the coaching staff down.
When the junior grand finals were held a week ago, Macarthur FC won their first ever decider in the boys and men’s program. Then they immediately followed it up by winning a second grand final.
The Bulls Under 13s got the ball rolling – apologies for the pun – by winning their big one when they defeated Sydney FC 4-0.
The Under 13s -pictured above – will now be remembered as the first Macarthur FC men’s team to win a grand final.
Under 16s followed suit soon after, downing Marconi 1-0 to win their grand final – and the club’s second.
Macarthur FC was the only A League Academy to win two grand finals this season.
The club also boasted two academy teams in the semi finals, to add to the grand final win by their National Premier Leagues NSW women’s side, which went back to back in 2026.
These achievements made it the most successful season in Bulls FC academy history.
The club also finished third in the club championship behind Sydney FC and the Wanderers, just 12 points from top spot.
There was also considerable off field success at the Bulls, with four players signed to professional contracts.
