Eight Macarthur FC players who were part of the 2022-23 squad have left the club since the season ended in May.

This week the club announced the departure of Moudi Najjar, Daniel De Silva and Al Hassan Toure.

“A member of the Bulls’ inaugural season, Macarthur FC would like to thank Najjar for his service to the club over the past three years and wishes him the best for the future,’’ the club said in a media statement.

“The Bulls would also like to thank De Silva and Toure for their contribution over the past two seasons and give their best wishes to both players as they pursue overseas moves.’’

Aleksandar Susnjar, Bachana Arabuli, Craig Noone, Jason Romero and goalkeeper Nick Suman are the five other players who have also moved on since the season ended.

Assistant coach Jacob Burns, who joined the club on a short-term contract for the 2022/23 season, will return to Perth for family reasons.

In other club news, the Bulls Academy team was defeated 2-0 by Wollongong Wolves on Friday night at WIN Stadium in round 19 of the National Premier League men’s competition (pictured above).

The home side scored twice in the first half, but the Bulls came back strong in the second half, producing a number of goal scoring opportunities that went begging.

It included Stephan De Robillard sending one over from the edge of the box, followed by Jesper Webber firing wide from the right of the box.

The chances kept coming for the Bulls Academy, but they just couldn’t find the back of the net.
