Macarthur FC have the opportunity to win their second Australia Cup in just three years after making the 2024 final.

Football Australia have today confirmed that AAMI Park, Melbourne will host the Australia Cup final between Melbourne Victory FC and Macarthur FC this Sunday, September 29, with a 7.10pm kick-off.

The match will be streamed live and free on 10 Bold and 10 Play, thanks to Football Australia’s broadcast partner, Paramount Australia.

On the weekend, a late penalty saw the Bulls advance to the final with a 1-0 win over South Melbourne FC (Football Victoria).

Skipper Valere Germain blasted the ball to the back of the net for another famous Bulls victory.

Unfortunately, the popular Frenchman will be a spectator next Sunday because he collected two yellow cards during the semi final.

As well as being marched off in the dying minutes of the semi final on Sunday, Germain picked up an automatic one match suspension.

Bulls coach Mile Sterjovski has vowed that his side will give it a red hot go despite the absence of their inspirational leader.

Melbourne Victory FC – one of the most successful teams in the modern era of the Australia Cup – will be looking to build on their perfect track record in two previous finals (2015 and 2021).

Macarthur FC on the other hand will enter the decider with the confidence of a more recent cup success, having lifted the Australia Cup trophy in 2022.

A total of 758 teams from each state and territory across Australia embarked on their Australia Cup journey at the start of 2024.

Now, only two clubs remain in the hunt to be crowned Australia Cup winners and secure qualification for the 2025-26 AFC Champions League Two.
