Lyn Bullman has been a long-time and fierce advocate for the community of Claymore and has been a leading voice for the suburb’s residents.
As a member of the Claymore Residents Group, Mrs Bullman was front and centre in holding the state government to account for the redevelopment that has occurred in the suburb.
Now Mrs Bullman is one of two local recipients of 2021 NSW Government Community Service Awards.
Campbelltown MP Greg Warren presented Eagle Vale Mrs Bullman and Bradbury resident Andrew McGlinchy with their certificates this week.
The awards – only two of which are handed out every year – are awarded to residents who have made incredible contributions within the Campbelltown community.
Mr McGlinchy has spent many years volunteering in different capacities throughout Campbelltown.
As the former head of the Airds-Bradbury Men’s Shed, Mr McGlinchy helped coordinate a number of projects that benefited many people in the community.
“There is absolutely no doubt that both Lyn and Andrew deserve this prestigious accolade,” Mr Warren said.
“Their determination to help others has never wavered and there are many people throughout Campbelltown who have benefited as a result.
“Lyn took on the role of the voice for the Claymore community and her willingness to do so certainly led to positive change.
“I remember calling Andrew when WILMA Women’s Health Centre were in need of a lawn mower.
“Predictably Andrew and the team and the Airds-Bradbury Mens Shed came to the rescue and promptly.
“That is just the type of selfless and dedicated people that Lyn and Andrew are.
“Campbelltown really is so fortunate to have residents like Lyn and Andrew among us,” Mr Warren said.
