Liverpool City Councillor Richard Ammoun has been endorsed as the Liberal Party candidate for Liverpool for the March 25 state election.

He will take on someone he knows well: his fellow councillor Charisma Kaliyanda who has been endorsed as the Labor candidate.

Mr Ammoun says he wants to be the community’s voice in NSW Parliament and fight for locals in the next Perrottet Government.

“Working for the people across the Liverpool area is close to my heart,’’ he says.

“Our community is facing challenges including cost of living and infrastructure, and that’s why we need someone who can genuinely fight for the community and be the voice needed.

“Ensuring there is continued strong investment into Liverpool as well as easing the cost of living are important for me.

“The Perrottet Liberal Ttam has delivered budget easing schemes including the Energy Bill Saver program as well as Back To School, Active Kids, Creative Kids or First Lap vouchers.

“For anyone in Liverpool looking to buy their first home there is also the comprehensive First Home Buyers Choice package for house hunters.

“These are measures that are only available through strong economic management from the Perrottet Liberal Government.”

Cr Ammoun has a strong professional background working in a management role with experience in leading teams, budgeting and recruitment.

“This election is incredibly important, and we need a government that has the right plan for the future and importantly the ability to deliver on that plan,’’ he says.

“I am incredibly passionate about being the voice for the Liverpool community for the families, local businesses and the community as a whole.”

Nominations for the NSW election close on March 8.
