Antoinette Sulfaro is a dedicated and compassionate leader at Ladies Like to Lunch, a not-for-profit organization committed to supporting women affected by cancer in South Western Sydney.

Drawing from her own experiences as a carer and motivated by her family’s battle with cancer, Ms Sulfaro has played a pivotal role in the success and impact of the organisation’s care package program.

Her understanding of the South West Sydney community and her ability to forge strong relationships with sponsors and partners have been crucial in mobilising support for the cause.

Yesterday, Antoinette Sulfaro was named Leppington Local Woman of the Year 2024 in recognition of her work to actively support the community.

Member for Leppington Nathan Hagarty commended Ms Sulfaro on the honour, which recognises her passion and the positive impact she has made in the Leppington area.

“This is a well deserved honour for Antoinette,’’ he said.

“Antoinette is an inspiration for the community and her work ensures Leppington is an empowering place for women to live, work and visit.

“Her leadership and achievements have been instrumental in fostering community support and insight, making her an invaluable asset to Ladies Like to Lunch and the broader community,” said the local MP, pictured above with the 2024 Leppington woman of the year.

Ms Sulfaro’s commitment to the community extends beyond her work with Ladies Like to Lunch.

In 2023, she showcased her dedication by being the number 1 fundraiser in the Stars of Sydney South West – Dance For Cancer event, organised by Cancer Council NSW.

Since 2019 she has raised nearly $118,000 for cancer support, reflecting her dedication to making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.

“Thank you so much for this incredible honour – I am beyond grateful to receive the Leppington Local Woman of the Year 2024 award,’’ Ms Sulfaro said.

“It’s truly humbling to be recognised for my work with Ladies Like to Lunch. I share this award with the amazing team and volunteers who have been instrumental in making a positive impact in our community.

“I’m inspired every day by the strength and resilience of the women we support. This award is a testament to their courage and the power of coming together to make a difference. Thank you to everyone who has supported our cause and believed in our mission.

“Let’s continue to empower and uplift one another. Together, we can create a brighter future.”
