Best of Latino food and culture coming to South West Sydney

If you’re into Latino music and dance, and food, don’t miss Primavera Latin American Festival next Sunday week.

Liverpool Powerhouse will be the venue of this celebration of Latin American culture on Sunday, September 17.

The free, family-friendly festival will bring music, dance, food, markets, and cultural experiences to the South West Sydney region the Powerhouse for a day of springtime celebrations.

The festival is part of Liverpool Council’s Experience the World major events program and will offer:

  • Live music and dance performances, including ESO ESO, Danny Sanz, Victor Valdes Mariachi Band, Shara Rose Latin Experience, Selecta Orchestra and Sabor Boliviano.
  • Latin American food stalls featuring flavours from Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil and Mexico.
  • Salsa, cumbia, Latin dance, percussion, and folkloric dance workshops.
  • Artisan markets delivered in partnership with Altrimenti Markets.
  • Family activities, including live butterflies, Alpaca Kisses, creative activities and flower-making.
  • Western Sydney Wanderers football activation, including a Shootout Zone and juggling challenge.
  • A special 1pm screening of Disney’s Encanto at Liverpool Powerhouse Theatre. Tickets are $5 per person.
  • Colourful floral installations, interactive photo opportunities and roving entertainment.

Bellbird Dining & Bar will be open during the festival, with food and drinks inspired by Latin American culture and cuisine. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy a meal or refreshments as part of their day at the Powerhouse.

Visitors can also explore the exhibitions on display at Liverpool Powerhouse, including:

  • On Tour: Margaret and the Grey Mare, running until 30 November 2026.
  • Woomera – Field Recording, running until 30 November 2026.
  • 34th Annual Mil-Pra AECG Art Exhibition & Prizes, running until 25 October 2026.
