Jake Hollman joined Macarthur FC during their inaugural season in 2020-21 and quickly became a regular fixture in the black and white.

But after playing more than 100 games for the Bulls and scoring 16 goals, the 23 year old midfielder and the club have now parted company.

“I just want to say a huge thank you to everybody, from the fans, to the players, to the ownership and the coaches for an awesome five years at the club,” he said in a media statement announcing he won’t be at the Bulls from next season.

“I am signing off here, but I’ll continue to watch and support the club.”

The club said it was sad to see Hollman go, but accepted his decision to move on.

“I would like to thank Jake for his dedication to the club since day one. It’s been a pleasure watching him develop and I wish him the best for his future endeavours,” said CEO Sam Krslovic.

Macarthur FC have also announced that four other current players will also be departing the club.

They are Daniel De Silva, Ivan Vujica, Yianni Nicolaou and Peter Makrillos.

Vujica, who joined the Bulls ahead of the 2022/23 season, has been a consistent presence in defence, making 91 appearances across all competitions.

De Silva and Nicolaou have been valued members of the squad, playing key roles in the club’s two Australia Cup victories alongside Vujica.

De Silva, in particular, was a driving force in midfield, tallying 73 appearances, 6 goals and 9 assists.

“We thank Daniel, Ivan, Yianni and Peter for their service and wish them all the very best in their future,’’ the club statement said.

The flurry of off-season announcements included the re-signing of club captain Luke Brattan.

Brattan joined the club at the beginning of the 2024/25 campaign and quickly made his mark.

He featured in every match of the season and celebrated a major milestone by making his 300th A-League appearance in a Bulls jersey.

Taking over the captaincy following the departure of Valère Germain, Brattan led the team with distinction, most notably captaining the Bulls to victory in the Australia Cup final against Melbourne Victory, securing the club’s second major trophy.

A commanding presence in midfield, Brattan also delivered two spectacular goals against Adelaide United.

“It feels great to sign on again after winning the Australia Cup last year. We want to build on that and compete for more trophies,” he said.

“The Bulls is a fantastic club and it’s full of great people. It has a big future ahead that I want to be a part of that.”
