Campbelltown will celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day with a free community event.
On Monday, March 9, from 10am to 2pm, Forum Q and Lithgow Street in the town centre will come alive with market stalls, wellbeing opportunities and self-care activities.
The event will be a collaboration between Campbelltown City Council, the Benevolent Society and Eat Shop Love.
International Women’s Day in 2026 falls on Wednesday, March 4.
Campbelltown Mayor Darcy Lound, pictured above with participants at the 2025 International Women’s Day event at Campbelltown Civic Hall, says this year’s theme is “balance the scales’’, a reminder of the important role everyone plays in ensuring equality and fairness for women.
“International Women’s Day is an opportunity to come together and reflect on the contributions and achievements of women in Campbelltown and across Australia,” he said.
“This year’s celebration is a chance for our community to join us in our city centre and champion wellbeing, self-improvement and empowerment opportunities for local women and consider how we can do our part to support women across Macarthur,” Cr Lound said.
“I strongly encourage everyone to come together and join us for another important year of International Women’s Day celebrations.’’
Limited spaces will be available for drop-in Puppy Yoga sessions at the Glenalvon House courtyard from 11am to 1pm, where participants can enjoy guided exercises and interact with puppies.
The Benevolent Society will invite all attendees to contribute to a women’s community artwork installation, which will be exhibited at Forum Q and HJ Daley Library following the event.
