Shots fired during home invasion in Tahmoor

Police have commenced an investigation following a home invasion in Tahmoor last night.

According to the police report, emergency services were called to Lintina Street, Tahmoor when gun shots were heard by neighbours around 10.40pm.

On arrival, officers attached to Camden Police Area Command were told three men had forced entry into a home and assaulted an 18-year-old man, before leaving on foot toward Mitchell Street.

Police believe shots were also fired at the time; however, there have been no reports of injuries as a result of the shots.

The 18-year-old was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Campbelltown Hospital in a stable condition.

Two other occupants of the home – an 18-year-old woman and an infant child – were not injured.

Police have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

In a separate incident, a man arrested at a Camden area school is set to appear in court today charged with allegedly filming and possessing child abuse material.

About 1.30pm yesterday (Monday), police were called to the unnamed school following reports of an incident.

Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command were told a man, aged 30, had used his phone to make recordings of students.

The man was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with filming a person’s private parts without consent (aggravated), produce child abuse material, and film a person’s private parts without consent.

He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today (Tuesday). Inquiries are ongoing.
