The Macarthur region will host a blockbuster home match day for the NSW Pride this October when the 2025 Hockey One League season makes its way to Narellan.

The NSW Pride women, bronze medallists in last year’s Hockey One, and the NSW Pride men will play back-to-back on the same day as part of the same ticket on Saturday, October 18, at the Macarthur Hockey Complex in Narellan.

The site was chosen as part of Hockey NSW’s commitment to bring the NSW Pride and Hockey One to more regional centres in 2024 and 2025.

The success of hosting a NSW Pride home match day at the same venue last season was obviously another important factor in the decision to return in 2025.

What’s more, Macarthur local Nathaniel Stewart is expected to be part of the men’s squad again.

Hockey NSW CEO Matthew Bulkeley said he expects the event to be even bigger than when the NSW Pride played at Narellan last year.

“We were thrilled with the response the teams received from the Macarthur community and MSWHA last time,’’ he said.

“It was a fantastic day out embraced by the locals, but also attracted a lot of visitors and families to the area,” he said.

“We expect a sell-out when tickets go on sale in September,” he said.

The full 2025 Hockey One fixture, including who the NSW Pride will play in Narellan, will be released in a week’s time on June 12.
