Local students about to take on the HSC exams and who could do with a bit of a confidence boost should seriously consider Western Sydney University’s offer of help.
WSU’s free-to-access, online study sessions could be just what the doctor ordered for Year 12 students.
A team of qualified senior HSC teachers will deliver 26 sessions covering 14 key HSC subject areas during the school holidays – September 26-30.
A year ago, more than 1,700 students took advantage of the WSU offer of help.
This year’s session will be delivered via an interactive webinar and include content analysis, tips and strategies across all modules and a detailed exploration of key syllabus areas.
Practice exam and deconstruction opportunities will provide a detailed analysis of questions and exemplar responses and solutions.
Sophie Partridge, the director of future student engagement at WSU, said participating in the HSC study sessions can be immensely helpful for students who are navigating the exam period.
“Exam preparations can be daunting for many students and these study sessions are aimed at helping them feel prepared,’’ Ms Partridge said.
“They complement the hard work of the students and their teachers throughout the year to support their HSC success.
“The university is proud to offer the program again this year as a fantastic opportunity for students from the western Sydney region to access additional support and boost their confidence.”
Western Sydney University’s HSC helping hand is offered in partnership with leading education services provider InspirationED, whose team of highly qualified HSC teachers and experienced markers will deliver the sessions.
Advanced and standard English, chemistry, economics, advanced and standard maths, geography, business studies, biology, PDHPE, legal studies, community and family studies, modern history and physics will be covered.
