The Sky Racing Carnival of Miracles, Australia’s premier harness racing event, returns this Saturday at Club Menangle.

Cordina Chicken Farms Chariots of Fire will be first cab off the rank for two weeks of high stakes racing and vibrant festivities.

The opening night will feature Australia’s best 4-year-old pacers compete in the $250,000 feature race, the Cordina Chicken Farms Chariots of Fire, with the winner automatically qualifying for the iconic Garrards Miracle Mile the following week.

Last year’s winner Catch A Wave went on to win the carnival double, before competing in the world’s richest harness race later in the season.

The night also sees the NSW Derby heats and qualifying sprints for the Garrards Miracle Mile ($100,000 Allied Express sprint and $100,000 Cordina Group sprint).

Off the track racegoers can expect a night of celebration and revelry with performances by The Voice Australia’s Luke Antony accompanied by DJ and producer Kyle Maguire, as part of Club Sol.

Patrons can also enjoy a complimentary drink on arrival thanks to Sky Racing.

The Grand Circuit event, the Garrards Miracle Mile, is the culmination of an exciting two-week carnival period.

The final field of elite pacers will take on Australasia’s richest 1609 metre Speed Pacing Championship with a $1 million purse.

There will be plenty of entertainment for the entire family with acclaimed ARIA award-winning American-born singer Diesel as the headline entertainment, performing two sets on the night.

Diesel will be joined by The Voice Australia 2019 winner Diana Rouvas at the carnival finale, performing the national anthem prior to the feature race. Diana will also delight guests with a vocal performance covering popular hits to open the night’s entertainment.

Attendees will also be treated to the delights of the Aussie Night Markets with carnival rides and over 50 food and market stalls, the chance to win $5,000 cash, complimentary hair and makeup touch ups at the Pamper Lounge and be entertained by the trackside DJ.

Racegoers are encouraged to don their most fashionable attire and enter the Fashions on the Field competition open to ladies, gentlemen and juniors for the chance to win a share in $5000 cash prize pool.

“The Sky Racing Carnival of Miracles is building to be our best one yet,’’ says Club Menangle chief executive officer Bruce Christison.

“We are excited to welcome acclaimed musician Diesel to Club Menangle who will certainly delight guests performing his classic hits on our trackside stage.

“The first-class harness racing across two nights is not to be missed, highlighted by Cordina Chicken Farms Chariots of Fire on night one and the iconic $1 million Garrards Miracle Mile on night two,’’ Mr Christison said.

“With free entry and entertainment, plus the chance to win $5000, Garrards Miracle Mile is an affordable night out for the entire family, and we look forward to welcoming Macarthur locals and racing enthusiasts to Club Menangle this March.”
