Free coffee and breakfast for our champion early risers

This Thursday, Campbelltown’s early risers are in for a free breakfast treat. From 5am and until 8am a Suntory Boss Coffee pop-up truck in the town’s main street will be serving iced double espresso and iced long black coffee, along with savoury croissants courtesy of bakery Self Raised.

Why is Suntory doing this?

Mainly it’s in response to research commissioned by Suntory which found that Sydney’s earliest risers are in South West Sydney, who on average are getting up and hitting the road at 6.04 am.

According to the research, the South West Sydney story is one shaped by early trains, job sites and shift work, where mornings begin in the dark and getting to work takes priority over getting a workout in.

The free coffee and breakfast this Thursday is not completely altruistic from the point of view of Suntory Boss Coffee.

“If you’re up before the rest of the city, you deserve real coffee,’’ says Morgan Loveridge, head of Suntory Boss Coffee and future brands.

“That’s exactly what the new Suntory Boss Coffee Café range delivers – café style iced coffee, less milkshake – more real coffee, ready when your day starts – before the rest of Sydney stirs.”

And that’s the coffee that will be served up for free this Thursday, April 23, in the Goodyear Autocare carpark, 78 Queen Street, Campbelltown, 5am to 8am.

Bakery Self Raised will be serving free savoury croissants (salami, cheese and tomato relish; and cheese, jalapeno and olive), salami and cream cheese focaccias and Boston cream donuts.

Editor’s note: The research was conducted by PureProfile on behalf of Suntory Boss Coffee from 13th to 26th March 2026, surveying 940 NSW metro residents aged 18 plus years who are currently employed.
