Fourth male motorcycle rider dies on our roads

Another motorcycle rider has died on our roads, this time in a single vehicle crash near Camden yesterday.

The 22 year old man is the fourth motorcycle rider to die on the roads in the outer South Western Sydney region during December. All were male.

The latest fatality occurred around 9.15pm last night (Monday, December 27).

Emergency services were called to Gledswood Hills Drive, Gledswood Hills, following reports a motorcycle had crashed into a wooden pole and surrounding trees.

A passing motorist stopped to render assistance prior to the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.

However, despite their efforts, the rider – a 22-year-old man – died at the scene.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has dashcam footage from the area, to come forward.
