The 2022 Festival of Fisher’s Ghost started with a bang, attracting thousands of visitors over the weekend.

But there is still plenty more to come before it wraps up for another year.

One of the popular events, the Fisher’s Ghost Fun Run will be on this Sunday, November 13.

A great community initiative sponsored by Marsdens Law Group for many years, it is held on the Campbelltown campus of Western Sydney University.

It is perfect for seasoned joggers looking to test their athletic skill over 10km, or those simply looking for a picturesque 5km walk through the campus.

Competitors will have a chance to register and pick-up their bibs from 6:30am, before competing in their choice of course.

The 5km circuit is a casual track open to competitors aged 7 or more, while the 10km circuit is a competitive track that loops twice and is open to competitors 12 years or more.

Following the completion of the courses at 10am, a special medal and prize ceremony will be held.

“The Fisher’s Ghost Fun Run is always one of the biggest events during the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost and we’re delighted to be hosting it again for the first time since the pandemic,” says Mayor George Greiss.

“It will be great to see people get together with friends and family to enjoy the fun run across the picturesque grounds of the Western Sydney University campus,” Cr Greiss said.

Both teams and individuals can be registered online, or in-person.

Registered participants can pick up a sponsored free t-shirt following the race from the registration area.
