The Rotary Clubs of the Macarthur region are banding together once again to deliver the first responders award of 2025.
This will be the third year of the awards, introduced by the Rotary clubs to complement the successful annual police awards.
Campbelltown, Macarthur Sunrise, Ingleburn, Narellan, Camden, Gregory Hills, Next Gen, Wollondilly, and Picton Rotary clubs are involved in the awards.

Winners will be named at a presentation night at Wests Leagues Club Leumeah on April 30.
Nominations have now opened for the 2025 awards, and they will close on March 31.
If you wish to nominate a colleague visit the special website set up by the Rotary clubs and which can be accessed by scanning the QR code appearing with this article.
The awards recognise first responders in both paid and volunteer positions in the Macarthur area of these organisations:
● Fire and Rescue New South Wales
● New South Wales Ambulance
● New South Wales Rural Fire Service
● New South Wales State Emergency Service
● St John Ambulance
Service personnel can be nominated by colleagues, Rotarians and members of the general public.
Nominations can be submitted by completing the online nomination form.
A panel of independent judges will then assess nominees on the following key criterion: community service over and above the call of normal duties, which best exemplifies Rotary’s motto of ‘Service Above Self’
The overall winners in salaried and volunteer will be chosen out of the five category winners in each area and become 2025 Macarthur First Responder of the Year.
