Police seize three firearms, drugs and $75,000 cash

Organised Crime Squad detectives have charged a man after police seized three firearms, almost $75,000 cash and more than 10kg of prohibited drugs.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Organised Crime Squad established Strike Force Cripe to investigate a criminal syndicate involved in the manufacture and supply of prohibited drugs across NSW.

As part of ongoing inquiries, officers stopped a vehicle on Killinger Avenue, Liverpool, about at midday on Thursday and spoke to the 22 year old male driver.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, police allegedly located more than 1kg of a white substance, believed to be cocaine, and a small quantity of a crystalline substance, believed to be methylamphetamine, and cash.

The man was arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

A search warrant was later executed at a unit on Shepherd Street, Liverpool, where police located three firearms, ammunition, more than 3kg of methylamphetamine, more than 1.2kg of cocaine, 775g of heroin, more than 4.2kg of a brown crystallised substance, believed to be MDMA, and almost $75,000 cash.

The Edensor Park man, who was charged with 14 offences, was refused bail to appear in court yesterday.

A man has been charged with 21 offences over alleged sexual touching and assault incidents in South Western Sydney.

Police were called to a shopping centre along Elizabeth Drive, Liverpool last Wednesday following reports a man had touched two girls, aged six and nine.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and commenced inquiries into the incident.

A short time later, a 26-year-old man was stopped by security as he attempted to leave the centre and was arrested by investigators.

He was taken to Liverpool Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of common assault and with stalking.

The following day, investigators charged the man with 18 sexual touching and assault offences.

Police allege that the man sexually touched and assaulted up to nine people at the same shopping centre on December 21.

The Liverpool man was refused bail and will appear in court on January 9.
