The Campbelltown Athletics Centre will be buzzing with a carnival atmosphere when it hosts the 2021 Festival on the Field next month.
The free event on Saturday, April 17 will include numerous stalls, kids activities, food trucks, rides and music from local artists.
“Festival on the Field will bring loads of fun and entertainment for everyone to enjoy and promises to be a great family day out with a variety of rides, entertainment and music,” Mayor George Brticevic said.
“After a challenging 2020, I’m delighted to see large scale events returning for our community to enjoy and this event is sure to bring something unique and special to our event calendar.’’
There will be no music on stage or on rides during the quiet hour event and a sensory tent will be set up with play equipment, activities and chill out zones.
“The quiet hour sessions have been immensely popular at previous events and provide an environment in which people with disability can feel comfortable to enjoy the event with their friends and family,” the mayor said.
Tickets are limited to 3,000 at each session to comply with Covid-19 safety regulations and a cleanup of facilities and rides will take place after each session.
Those who wish to attend will be able to book in for one of three sessions from 2pm to 5pm, 6pm to 9pm and a quiet hour session between 11am and 1pm. Tickets will be available from 10am on April 7.
