Fatal drive-by shooting in Ambarvale: CCTV footage

Police investigating the fatal drive-by shooting of a woman at Ambarvale last month have released CCTV footage and are appealing for public information as inquiries into the incident continue under Strike Force Apslawn.

About 11pm on Monday, April 14, emergency services were called to a home on Dickens Road, Ambarvale, following reports a woman had been shot.

Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command arrived to find a 65-year-old woman had suffered a gunshot wound to her leg after shots had been fired at the home.

She was treated by police and NSW Ambulance paramedics, however she died at the scene.

A 34-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, who were also in the home at the time, were uninjured.

Detectives, with assistance from officers attached to the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, established Strike Force Apslawn to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries are ongoing, police have released CCTV footage depicting three men who were seen in the area at the time.

Two vehicles – a white SUV and a blue sedan – were also seen leaving the area shortly after the shooting.

The first male is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall, thin build and aged in his 30s.

The second male is described as Middle Eastern in appearance, about 185cm tall, athletic build and aged in his 30s.

The third male is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, about 180cm tall, large build and aged in his 20s.
