Police will address the media at noon today over the two vehicle crash near Ingleburn that claimed the life of a male passenger.
Acting Superintendent Thomas Barnes, Commander of State Operations, Traffic and Highway Patrol Command will provide more information at the media conference and appeal to the public for any dashcam footage of the tragic incident.
Emergency services were called to the Hume Motorway, at Ingleburn, following reports of a two-vehicle crash shortly after 10.30pm last night.
Officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command attended and found a utility and truck had collided.
The passenger of the utility, a 37-year-old man, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics on scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he later died.
The driver, a 47-year-old man, was trapped for a short time before he was released and taken to hospital in a serious condition.
The truck driver, a 36-year-old man, was not injured.
Police established a crime scene, and an investigation has commenced with the assistance of specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
