Are you ready to connect with local first responders in case of an emergency?
It could be bushfire, flood or a major vehicle accident, and how you respond could end up saving a life.
That’s why this year’s Emergency Ready Day coming to Koshigaya Park next month is so important.
This day encourages residents to consider their emergency preparedness and connect with local emergency services.
Residents can expect a day filled with family-fun including, free face-painting and interactive activities with emergency services, plus trucks, vehicles, and equipment to explore.
“Our Emergency Ready Day is a terrific opportunity to directly interact with local emergency service representatives,’’ says Mayor George Greiss.
“It offers the chance for residents to gain expert insight and personalised advice on their emergency plans.
“I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy a day of educational activities and a free barbecue lunch while strengthening their understanding of safety strategies,” Mayor Greiss said.
A joint Emergency Preparedness Brochure will be launched by Campbelltown City Council and South West Sydney Primary Health Network on the day.
The brochure informs people about important health information during an emergency and can be collected at Emergency Ready Day.
The 2024 Emergency Ready Day will be held on Sunday, September 22, from 11am to 3pm.
It will include informational stalls hosted by emergency service representatives, including NSW Police, Fire & Rescue NSW, NSW SES, Rural Fire Service NSW and the Australian Red Cross
