Campbelltown City Council will continue its commitment to the prevention of domestic and family violence by hosting Champions of Change later this month.

Champions of Change will be held at the Campbelltown Catholic Club, on Saturday, October 21.

It will be held from 4pm to 7pm.

Council has partnered with the NSW Council for Pacific Communities and South West Multicultural Community Centre to hold this community event, which is also being supported by the venue, Campbelltown Catholic Club.

As well as featuring keynote presentations and panel discussions, it will also connect those who attend the event with domestic violence services and organisations.

Guest keynote speakers set to take part include Matt and Sarah Brown, authors of New Zealand bestselling book and activist organisation, She Is Not Your Rehab, pictured above.

A further discussion panel, moderated by Professor Jioji Ravulo, will engage guest speakers on how local communities can play key roles in the prevention of domestic and family violence.

“In our domestic and family violence strategy, we’ve outlined a clear commitment to combatting domestic and family violence, especially for those impacted in our community,” says Campbelltown Mayor George Greiss.

“Champions of Change is an opportunity for locals to come together and learn more about the actions they can take to prevent domestic and family violence in a local community context,” Dr Greiss said.
