Man, 34, lands in court after domestic violence incident at Narellan

A man was due to face court today, charged with domestic violence, firearm and drug offences in Narellan.

About 8.45am yesterday, (Thursday, February 22), police were called to Hovell Street, Narellan, following reports of a domestic violence incident.

It was alleged that a 34-year-old man was threatening two women – aged 57 and 32 – both known to the man.

Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command established a perimeter, with additional specialist police resources from the Negotiation Unit and the Tactical Operations Unit called to assist.

A short time after the commencement of negotiations, all three left the premises.

The two women were not injured. The man was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station.

He was charged with stalking and intimidation, having an unauthorised firearm and the cultivation of a prohibited plant.

He was refused bail to appear at Picton Local Court.

A pedestrian died on the scene where he was hit by a car in Rossmore this morning. About 6.20am emergency services responded to reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle along Devonshire Street, Rossmore.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the male pedestrian, but he died at the scene.

The 24-year-old male driver was uninjured. He was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing. Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command established a crime scene as an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident continues.

Police have released CCTV images and are appealing for public assistance following an investigation into a sexual touching incident which occurred at Edmondson Park Railway Station last month.

Police say they were informed a 22-year-old woman was sexually touched by a man at the station about 6.15pm on Friday, January 16.

Police attached to Police Transport and Public Safety Command commenced an investigation into the incident.

As inquiries continue, police have released images of a man – pictured – who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, believed to be aged in his 20s, about 170cm tall, and of medium build.

At the time he was wearing a dark hoody, dark pants with dark sneakers.
